Tom: What happens when you fall in love?
Summer: You believe in that?
Tom: It's love, it's not Santa Claus.
-------
(500) Days of Summer has to be one of my top favourite films of all time. It's not like the typical love story you find in films and fiction. It's overwhelmingly realistic - and bittersweet.
The film tells the story of two people in a relationship who have different views about love. The protagonist is Tom, a hopeless romantic, who believes in love and all its wonders. Whereas his love interest, Summer, is the exact opposite. And when you mix those two together, things don't always turn out pretty.
The reason why I loved this film so much is that I could relate to Tom like a hundred percent. And yes, I cried.
I loved the fact that the film shows the reality of relationships - that not everything is butterflies and kisses; problems tag along too. It's just we have to decide if we should flee from them or face them. It also shows that we should let go when things are not meant to be. Something better is always there, waiting around the corner. Even if things were meant to be, it'll come back to you one day.
SO. Check this film out if you haven't.

I haven't covered a song properly for so long.
I'm a bit rusty, so please bear with me.
Your ears will bleed.
LOL.
Enjoy.

My new nest.
Because my bed is occupied by two guests.
I don't mind. I actually prefer sleeping on the sofa.
It makes me feel all nomad-ish for some reason. And I like that feeling.
I told my mom I'd like to keep the sofa in my room permanently. She agreed.
But I have no idea where she will put my bed.
My two aunts and two of my cousins are staying over for a week. It's very nice.
It's surprising because my aunts are actually very cool people. Especially my mom's younger sister.
I think I identify with her more, actually. Because from my observations, I think I'm more like her than I am like my mom.
Not saying that I don't love my mom. I do.
It's just very nice seeing my aunt in a whole different light.
Then I remembered that she once danced to Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady" back in 2000.
Oh and earlier this week, I found out my camera's broken.
Turns out it was actually the lens. It won't focus properly.
So you'll see blurry photos from me from now on.
Until I have saved up some money and get me a new lens.
Can't wait.

Oh holy mary had a little lamb.
Discovered something awfully horrible today. I failed my math exam.
Shows how smart I am with numbers.
Woo. Yay. I'm totally not upset. I'm so freakin' happy. Yay Yay Yay.
To think I would be quite content to-day. Sheesh. Whatever.
Stop screwing my life, IB. I don't screw yours.
My life does not revolve around you. Even though it kind of looks that way now.
I have a life okay, I have twitter and facebook to worry about.
I don't need you to mess with my brain. It's already messed up, anyway.
I don't need you, IB. I don't need you to get through life.
I'll find a way without you. You'll see.
In other news!!!
There are none. I just want to attend an art school really badly now.
Oh well. I still love you people. <3
And it's not like my life is over anyways.... or is it?
P.S: The photo above is unrelated to what I've ranted about. I was just really bored this morning. Heeeheeee.

Pretty sweet.
Thanks a bunch to my mom. If she didn't put this on the stereo 5 years ago, I wouldn't know this lovely little gem.

This was taken shortly after I had my hair done in July.
I miss that 'do. Now my hair is all over the place.
I skipped school today because my exams weren't on.
I didn't want to revise. Because I don't like math.
I don't like revising, full stop.
I like reading story books though. So that's okay.
I'm not completely against anything academic. I'm just against slavery. That's all.
It's kind of ironic... or contradicting... I'm bad with words.
Anyway, it's kind of ironic that I kind of want to go to school.
Not for studying. But observing.
Observing a particular person. In a non-stalker way.
It's weird.

I LOVE Tim Burton. I know I use the word "amazing" a lot but his visuals are absolutely amaaaaaazing. People always say he's overrated but I think he's quite the contrary. I love his poems and stop animations.
He makes me want to write children's books that rhyme and sculpt weird-looking dolls all the time.
This is a video of his first claymation called Vincent. Made in 1982. And I'm totally obsessed with it.
